Think it's good that Santana stayed out of the AL East and it improves the Mets chances greatly of winning the NL East. If 2 of those 4 players that the Twins got come through, it was worth it for them.

I think Santana and the Mets got the better end of the deal. After holding on for so long, the Twins seemed to give him away, in my opinion. With that lineup, I really think Santana will improve on his already impressive stats. He has more run support, although a better bullpen could be argued. The Mets rotation now contends with some of the other elites. Johan, Pedro, Oliver Perez, John Maine, Pelfrey, and even El Duque are all good. Should make for an interesting season.

i think he'll be a cancer, hate new york and get killed every time he plays the phillies. just my personal opinion.
i think it was a bad trade but i like santana hes a good guy. he deserves a good team and the people of venezuala will be happy with him bein on a good team. im from MN and they say whenever santana is pitchin more people from ven. are watchin on satelite then in the usa
I think it's Ironic how it fits under Omar's ethnic cleansing of that team, it's going to be completely Hispanic team, there are other talented players out there. David Wright will be the sole white guy on that team eventually. It's good for the mets, good for the yankees because hes outta the AL and isn't in bean town.
